Spielman Joins EMB in New Position of Project Manager

photo of Lisa SpielmanLisa received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1991. She began her career working in various hospitals before moving to Hoechst Marion Roussel in 1996 and then to Quintiles in 1998 where she worked until joining EMB in June.

With a wealth of experience in data management, managing teams, providing solutions, setting standards, and implementing EDC systems, Lisa will assist EMB in many areas of project management including process improvement.

We are excited to have Lisa on our team and know she will help EMB continue to succeed.


EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC Announces Team Expansion in all service areas.

EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC is excited to share that we’ve expanded with the hiring of three new associates during our fifteenth year of operation. We experience growth at EMB by adding new team members that we’ve worked with in the past and know will enhance our experienced team. We continue to maintain our ZERO turnover since forming in 2000.

Statistics: Michael Ames, Ph.D.
Michael received his Ph.D. in statistics from Southern Methodist University in 1987, followed by six years of teaching at New Mexico State University. He joined Hoechst Marion Roussel in 1993, where he worked with several of EMB associates. Michael moved to GlaxoSmithKline in Research Triangle Park, N.C., in 1997 and worked primarily in oncology and central nervous system indications until early 2015, when GSK divested their oncology division to Novartis.

Michael has extensive experience and a substantial research and publication record, and we are excited to have him on our team.

Data Management: Kim Krouse
Kim received her bachelor’s degree in medical record administration from the University of Kansas in 1990. She started her career in medical records at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and worked at other area hospitals before switching to clinical trials management working at Hoechst Marion Roussel and Quintiles from 1998-2001, and at RCCI after that. Kim has worked the last decade at United BioSource Corporation in Kansas City.

Kim brings broad experience in many data management areas and we are confident she will help EMB succeed.

Statistical Programming: Ruth Johnson
Ruth received her bachelor’s degree in biostatistics from Brigham Young University in 2003 and began full-time work at Quintiles in Kansas City in July of that year. She has experience in all aspects of statistical programming and will add to our strong base working with SDTM and ADaM specifications. In addition, Ruth has experience in several therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, and cardiology.

Ruth is a great addition to our programming team.
